This driver could have killed a bus load of children!
A sports-utility vehicle crashed into a school bus carrying 12 students Wednesday morning (September 2, 2015) in Ocean View.
"In response to a 6:42 a.m. call, Kaʻū officers determined that the bus was traveling south on Princess Kaʻiulani Boulevard when an SUV traveling west on Lehua Parkway and operated by a 42-year-old man ran a stop sign and broadsided the bus. Twelve school children, ages 13-17, and a 50-year-old male driver were on board the bus," the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) informed.
No injuries were reported; with that said, this news didn't surprise me, because a lot of the drivers in Ocean View are notorious for failing to stop to a stop sign or red light.
Ocean View features 102 square miles of land with only 4,437 residents (as of 2010). As you can imagine, the traffic there is very light, so some drivers assumes no one else is traveling on the road...
