One of those birds would rather experience a thunderstorm than a tita.lightning 001

For the first time in ages, Hilo, Hawaii, experienced a heavy thunderstorm after 11 p.m. yesterday (October 16, 2015).

The loud cracking blasts scared the bejesus out of the birds. I saw zebra doves, common mynas, and cattle egret scrambling to get out of the nearby trees.

The only bird that wasn't really scared was my neighborhood Pacific golden plovers which didn't fly away. Those birds merely ran faster than normal during that storm.

Ironically, one of those birds screams whenever huge, loud and vulgar women comes within 200 feet.
