A Pacific golden plover was minding its business when suddenly, a common myna flew full force to attack it.

The plover didn't anticipate the attack, and only attempted to evacuate when the myna came within a few inches.

The myna intercepted the plover and the two battled each other for a few seconds in a wing showdown. The myna flew off after the plover made a distress call.

The common myna's typically doesn't attack other species that's similar to their size, such as the Pacific golden plover. They do however, bully smaller birds that comes close to their food sources.
