Here's hoping they stay in the Arctic tundra for the next 4 days.
Tropical Storm Walaka could potentially wreck havoc on the juvenile Pacific golden plovers that's migrating over the Pacific Ocean for the first time.
The storm is generating sustainable winds of up to 65 mph as it churns northwest. The threat could potentially clear the Pacific Ocean by October 9, 2018.
This is bad news considering only 20 percent of juvenile Pacific golden plovers can successfully migrate over the Pacific Ocean.
It would be crazy if they get trapped in the center of that storm and end up in Canada... only to start the migration all over again.
