What perfect timing.
It's that wonderful time of the year when school is in session and I no longer have to listen to loads of ignorant parents yelling at their children.
As an added bonus, most of the female Pacific golden plovers that spends their wintering season in my neighborhood has migrated back to Hawaii today (August 5, 2019), a bit earlier than previous years (August 7).
They made landfall just before Tropical Depression Flossie sweeps through the northeastern part of the state.
Once again, Peep-Peep (female) the plover is invading Ninja's (male) feeding grounds, while Couch Potato is kicking back.
