It's only going to get worse.
The weather in Hawaii has been a roller coaster weather ride over the past week. We had a wind storm, a rain storm, a winter storm, and now we're going to have a thunderstorm with volcanic emissions that is forecast to last three days.
It was 85 degrees Fahrenheit in my home last night, which was about 20 degrees warmer than the week before.
The roller coaster weather ride is forecast to continue next week when a cool dry air mass covers the state.
After that, the transition between winter and spring will begin; during which, the solar radiation will spike and it will be almost impossible to counter the heat gain without an air conditioning unit.
