The County of Hawaii Civil Defense has been doing a fantastic job at posting information regarding the Kilauea volcano on Twitter. Here's a perfect example of what they've been posting:
HVO reports middle of fissure system continues to be most active. Lava eruption & ground cracking continues in Leilani Estates & Lanipuna Gardens. Ash emissions continue. Anyone can find information quickly on Twitter because their search algorithm scans public conversations, and their website consumes less data than its competitors.
In the past, I've managed to search for information on Twitter while the Internet was really slow; as a comparison, I couldn't access their competitors websites because my connection timed out.
