Here's hoping the improvement persists.police 01 blue

Law enforcement on the Big Island of Hawaii must have changed their strategy to combat criminals because the island has been a lot less crazy over the past few months.

I've witnessed a lot less aggressive and violent behavior during that period; for example, harassment and road raging seems to have plummeted.

What's also shocking is I haven't heard a single racial slur or insult. It's like a majority of the people who was the problem was either prosecuted, or they moved away.

An investigation has revealed the Hawaii Police Department (HPD) issued a whopping 1,627‬ citations, and made 26 arrests on the Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) during the period of August 22, 2019 to September 12, 2019. That's a lot of criminals concentrated in one area!
