Here's the main reason why you can't find that console in stores.
Scalpers in Hawaii have sold over 70 Nintendo Switch units on a popular auction website during that consoles launch month (March 3 to April 3, 2017). That's a low blow considering:
The Nintendo Switch is in hot demand.
Hawaii's retail stores is generally last in line for new shipments. Mainland stores has priority over new shipments.
Hawaii's consumers has access to fewer retail stores that sells video games, when compared to similarly populated locations in the mainland.
I saw four units in stock a couple weekends ago, and a few minutes later --- all four units disappeared! Stores should start regulating purchases of newly released consoles to one unit per ID!
