nintendo switch 01

Here's the main reason why you can't find that console in stores.

Scalpers in Hawaii have sold over 70 Nintendo Switch units on a popular auction website during that consoles launch month (March 3 to April 3, 2017). That's a low blow considering:

  • The Nintendo Switch is in hot demand.

  • Hawaii's retail stores is generally last in line for new shipments. Mainland stores has priority over new shipments.

  • Hawaii's consumers has access to fewer retail stores that sells video games, when compared to similarly populated locations in the mainland.

I saw four units in stock a couple weekends ago, and a few minutes later --- all four units disappeared! Stores should start regulating purchases of newly released consoles to one unit per ID!
